The arts are a defining characteristic of modern society. They represent an important way for people to express themselves, to connect with others, and to impart a certain vision or wisdom. One cannot truly understand a culture until you have looked at their art, whether its architecture, paintings, sculpture, wood-prints, time-based media, or whatever else. Regardless of what color, creed, gender, or personality a person defines themselves by, they almost always have an appreciation for art. So, everyone loves the arts, but not everyone actually supports them. This comes down to many people not knowing how to support them or not having the finances to do so. Baryn Futa is part of the small community that endeavors to support the arts. He has sought to not only support the arts community with his own money and time, but also to increase public interest in the support of, and appreciation for, the fine arts.
Baryn Futa is happy to be playing a role in the small community of art benefactors. He believes that supporting the fine arts is not only a worthy cause, but also a logical and profitable investment. Baryn Futa was not always the type to appreciate the arts, though. It is a more recent trend in his life that only really started after he retired. Baryn Futa’s interest in the fine arts surprised no one more than him. He has, however, voraciously devoured anything having to do with fine arts ever since then. He took the time to cultivate his interest in the fine arts by going to various events and reading books on the subject.
Baryn Futa first discovered his interest in the fine arts while working with the Denver Art Museum. Since then, he has attended classes online and in real classrooms, gone to art fairs, taken trips to art museums, and attending exhibits. Today, Baryn Futa is a member of some of the most reknown art museums in the world, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Jewish Museum, and The Guggenheim.
