The driving force behind Baryn Futa‘s extensive involvement in advocating for and collecting fine art has often been questioned. However, a simple glance at his track record reveals a clear answer. Baryn’s motivation stems from his concern over the lack of recognition and support for many talented artists. He is troubled by the fact that numerous brilliant artists struggle to thrive in the absence of sufficient appreciation. Consequently, a significant portion of his time is dedicated to addressing this issue.
Interestingly, Baryn Futa’s journey towards a profound appreciation for the arts commenced relatively late in his life. It wasn’t until after retirement, when he became associated with the Denver Art Museum, that he began to grasp the significance of the arts. Even Baryn himself was surprised by the depth of his newfound attraction to the art world. Nevertheless, he embraced this newfound passion wholeheartedly.
During his tenure at the DAM, Baryn Futa immersed himself in the realm of arts and art history. He seized every opportunity to nurture his love for the arts, actively participating in art fairs, attending museum exhibitions, and engaging with various art-related activities.
